Tour overview
Da Nang is a different city after dark. The bridges switch their lights on, the riverfront fills up with families, and the Sun Wheel turns in colour above Asia Park. This evening is built around that and nothing else.
Pickup is at four, so your day stays your own. You ride the wheel, eat dinner in the city rather than in a coach-park restaurant, and finish on a boat down the Han River — back at your hotel around nine.
Good fit if you want
- Evenings free after a beach day
- Anyone who dislikes an early start
- Couples and families with children
- First evening in Central Vietnam
- Stacking onto a day tour, not instead of one

16:00
Hotel pickup
Tom collects you from your hotel and drives into Da Nang — around 40 minutes from Hoi An, less from An Bang or My Khe.
- 02
Sun Wheel at Asia Park
Ride the wheel as the light goes. A full turn takes about fifteen minutes and the last few are the ones people photograph.

Dinner in Da Nang
Dinner in the city, with your guide to tell you what is worth ordering. Mention any dietary needs when you book and they are easy to arrange.
- 04

Han River cruise
Board at Bach Dang wharf — the ticket is already in hand — and cruise up the river with the city lit on both banks. There is an open top deck if you want the air.
- 05

Dragon Bridge
The boat pauses by the Dragon Bridge for about fifteen minutes — the stop everyone reaches for a camera on.
- 06
21:00
Back to your hotel
The car is waiting at the wharf. Back in Hoi An or Da Nang around nine.

Price by group size
This is a private tour, so the day costs about the same however many of you there are — which means the price per person drops as your group grows.
Tour price
| Group | 1 | 2–7+ |
|---|---|---|
| Price (USD) | 105 | 58 |
Unit: per person · the whole car and guide are yours either way
Per person, including the Sun Wheel ticket, dinner and the boat. A solo traveller carries the whole car and guide alone, which is the only reason that figure is higher — from two guests up the price is the same whatever the size of your group. Eight or more of you — ask Tom for a group rate.
Bringing children
What younger travellers pay, answered here so you do not have to ask. Nothing is paid up front — you settle at the end of the tour.
Children policy

- Free
- 5–12 years
- Of the adult per-person price.

Frequently asked questions
What time does it start and finish?+
Pickup is at 4:00 pm and the evening runs about five hours, so you are usually back at your hotel around 9:00 pm.
Will we see the Dragon Bridge breathe fire?+
The bridge normally puts on its fire-and-water show at 9:00 pm on Saturday and Sunday evenings and on public holidays. The schedule does change, so tell Tom when you book if you want to see it — he will check the night you are coming and work the timing around it.
Is it suitable for children?+
Yes. The wheel and the boat are both easy with children, there is almost no walking, and dinner is early enough for young ones. Under-fives ride free.
What should we wear?+
Whatever you would wear out to dinner, plus a light layer — the top deck of the boat is breezy after dark, and the river turns cool between November and February.
Can we do this on the same day as another tour?+
Yes, and many people do. It starts at four, after a Hoi An or Marble Mountains day has finished. Tell Tom so he can line the two pickups up.
